Conference on Equality of Opportunity and Intergenerational Mobility: A Global Perspective

June 6-7, 2024, Bari (IT)

The Department of Economics and Finance of the University of Bari, in collaboration with the International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics, is organizing the international conference “Equality of Opportunity and Intergenerational Mobility: A Global Perspective”.

We invite submissions of theoretical and empirical papers relating to:
– Inequality of opportunity
– Intergenerational mobility
– Intergenerational transmission of education
We also welcome contributions on related topics like discrimination, gender inequalities, inheritance and wealth inequality.

Keynote speakers are:

• Miles Corak (City University of New York)
• Alessandra Fogli (Federal Reserve Minneapolis)
• Steven N. Durlauf (University of Chicago)

Deadline for submission: March 10, 2024

Acceptance decision: April 10, 2024
