The Department of Applied Economics (DEA) is willing to support candidates for ‘María Zambrano’ postdoctoral fellowships’ as detailed in a call issued by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
Successful candidates will join the Research group on Economic Inequality led by Xavier Ramos.
‘María Zambrano’ fellows need to have at least 24 months of postdoctoral research experience at a university different from the one where they received their Ph.D and who are currently (September 2021) active researchers or teachers at a non-Spanish university or research centre. The fellow will join the Department of Applied Economics for a period of two years, during which he/she will be part of one of the departments’ research groups, receiving a gross monthly salary of €4.000. The fellowship needs to be completed by 31 December 2024 and may involve up to 60 teaching/hours per year at the Department of Applied Economics
Interested candidates should submit their curriculum vitae and an outline of the research project that they would like to carry out at DEA (1500 words maximum), clearly identifying in which one of the department’s research areas it would fit . From all received proposals, the Department will select those with the highest potential and will then prepare a joint candidacy with the appropriate research group to be submitted to UAB by September 30, 2021. Only candidates finally selected by UAB will become ‘Maria Zambrano’ fellows.
