The Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) invites applications for a position as Research Associate (Post-doc, disability research)

• Full-time/40 hours per week, 100% based at LISER
• Fixed-term contract : 1 year (renewable)
• Starting as soon as possible
We are looking for a post-doc researcher to play a key role in developing high quality, policy-relevant work in the area of disability research at LISER, in collaboration with stakeholders and international academic partners. The initial priority project will be to lay the ground for developing a system of personal assistance (incl. personal budgets) for people with disabilities in Luxembourg, drawing on the international evidence as well as the evidence produced in the research process. The work will comprise a strong component of quantitative analysis (e.g. assessing the economic conditions of people with disabilities, the assessment of the resources needed by people with disabilities, etc.), research synthesis (e.g. on lessons learnt from experience with personal assistance in other countries) as well as some qualitative work (e.g. structured interviews with stakeholders, people with disabilities and their families).

Successful PhD candidates will work, during the PhD project, with supervisors in one of the Institute’s research departments “Urban Development and Mobility”, “Labour Market”, “Living Conditions”, or in the Interdisciplinary Research Programs in “Health and Health Systems”, “Crossing Borders”, “Behavioral and experimental economics” or “Digital Transformation”.
