International Inequalities Institute – LSE, London

The International Inequalities Institute at LSE is pleased to announce the 2nd Call for Applications for the Opportunity, Mobility, and Inherited Inequalities PhD Visiting Grant at the London School of Economics (LSE) for the 2025-26 academic year.
This grant supports doctoral researchers from other institutions to spend one term at LSE, gaining access to the International Inequality Institute (III)’s resources and network in the fields of Intergenerational Mobility and Inequality of Opportunity.

Required documents:

    • CV
    • Academic transcripts or certificates
    • Statement of purpose (max. 1,200 words)
    • Two reference letters
    • Sample of written work (e.g., publication, thesis chapter)
Successful candidates will receive modest financial support, covering tuition fees (up to £2,500) and travel costs (up to £500). The grant is conditional on acceptance as a Visiting Research Student by LSE’s Social Policy Department.
