Eighteenth Winter School on Inequality and Social Welfare Theory (IT18)
January 6-11, 2025, Alba di Canazei (Dolomites)
The CESifo, the Department of Economics – University of Verona and LISER (in collaboration with: CEE-M – University of Montpellier; CY Cergy Paris University; ECINEQ; The International Inequalities Institute – LSE; University of Antwerp – AIPRIL Centre of Excellence; University of Bari “Aldo Moro”; University of Rome – La Sapienza, LIS, European Social Science Genetics Network, The World Bank Group) are launching the 18th edition of the Winter School.
The aim of the School is to provide junior and senior researchers on inequality and social welfare analysis with the opportunity to discuss issues concerning Big Challenges for our societies. This year, the challenges include:
– Genes-environment interactions and human capital
– Early environment, expectations, aspirations and mobility
– Poverty across the globe
– Political economy and policymaking
The school will take place in January 2025 from Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 in the teaching facilities of the University of Verona in Alba di Canazei (Italy).
PhD students selection is based on the presentation of a CV and a paper to be attached to the online application form not later than November 29, 2024. Applications received before November 20th, 2024 will be reviewed within two days.
