Inequalities and opportunities:
Insights into wealth, income and education disparities
16-17 June 2025, Bari (Italy)

The Department of Economics and Finance of the University of Bari, in collaboration with the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research and the Department of Economics and Law of Sapienza University of Rome, is organizing the international conference “Inequalities and opportunities: insights into wealth, income and education disparities”, which will take place in Bari on June 16th and 17th, 2025.

The purpose of the conference is to bring together scholars from different disciplines to share their current research on the measurement and analysis of economic inequalities.

Conference topics:
– Inequality in wealth, income or education
– Intergenerational transmission of wealth, income or education
– Inequality of opportunity in wealth, income or education

Contributions on related topics like environment and inequality, discrimination and social welfare are also welcome.

The confirmed keynote speakers are:
• Alberto Bisin (New York University)
• Ravi Kanbur (Cornell University)
